Inspire Hope
The Inspire Hope campaign first launched in April 2020 as a way to bring love and hope to the elderly living in long-term care homes through small acts of kindness and encouragement. The result was 100s of volunteers who made crafts, wrote letters, and chalked sidewalks to send the message to 6,500 elderly individuals, throughout the year, that they are not alone and people care about them.
Now in 2024, we are on a mission to concentrate the focus of Inspire Hope on specific individuals in long-term care homes that are particularly lonely and don’t receive visitors. Having built relationships with homes, schools and volunteers through previous Inspire Hope campaigns, we are able to identify these vulnerable individuals and coordinate visitation. Many elderly in our community are vulnerable to depression due to the loneliness and isolation they experience. Inspire Hope seeks to bring love and hope into those situations.
Current Initiative: Boxes of Hope
This November you can be part of touching the lives of elderly people in our community to bring them hope and encouragement through the delivery of boxes filled with little gifts and cards for our most vulnerable elderly who don’t get visitors.
