Dr. Scott Miller

Speaking Topic: Lost Fatherhood: The impact of abortion on men

Dr. Miller with deliver a presentation in our main session and provide a deeper look at supporting men in a breakout session.

Dr. Scott Miller has a Doctor of Ministry degree on the subject of healing fathers of aborted children and has worked as an addictions recovery chaplain for decades. As such he has extensive knowledge both academic and anecdotal of the impact of abortion on men. He has observed and studied the link between an unresolved abortion experience in a father and a continuing battle with addictions. He has seen the power of the addiction weakened when a father addresses the abortion experience in his life. Dr. Miller developed a leading model designed to alleviate distress associated with an abortion experience.

Justina Van Manen

Infertility is a painful reality faced by many couples. Held as the gold standard of artificial reproductive technologies, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has been promoted as a safe and effective way to achieve pregnancy. However, effective does not always mean ethical. This presentation works through the difficult questions that surround IVF and what our response should be as pro-lifers both to the use of this technology and to the millions of pre-born children that remain frozen as a result.

Justina Van Manen has been involved in the pro-life movement for over a decade. She graduated for Redeemer University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2017 and completed a Bachelor of Education in 2020. She is the Author of Stuck: A Complete Guide to Answering tough questions about abortion and the recently published A Pro-Life Guide to Birth Control. She co-authored Life Under Glass: The Ethics of Embryo Adoption with Jonathon Van Maren. She lives in Ontario with her husband and sons.

More speakers and topics will be added as they are confirmed.
